Fredrik Nielsen
Fredrik Nielsen’s main material is glass. Trained a glass blower he is approaching his material and the traditions around it in his very own way. His raw expression influenced by graffiti, music and pop culture is pushing our perception of glass into new directions.
Fredrik Nielsen (b. 1977) have attended both Orrefors Glass School, Sweden and Pilchuck Glass School, USA as well as the Royal Institute of Art, Sweden. Recent exhibitions include Corning Museum of Glass, NYC, Vessel Gallery, London, Dunkers Kulturhus, Helsingborg and Millesgården, Stockholm. Nielsen is represented in public collections worldwide, such as Nationalmuseum, Sweden, Corning Museum of Glass, USA, Ariana Museum, Switzerland, Tore G Wäenstams Stiftelse, Sweden as well as in private collections in Sweden, Finland and USA. He lives and works in Stockholm.
